DOG REMINDER
The Board has received multiple complaints about the disturbance caused by dogs owned by Solamere residents. Specifically many dogs seem to be permitted to roam unrestrained, bark excessively or chase both adults and children. We encourage each dog owner to respectfully monitor and restrain their dog so that other residents who chose not to have dogs are not impacted by them.
Most pet owners know it is unlawful to let their dog run at large in Summit County. The Animal Control office has taken proactive measures in assisting people to have their dog on a leash. Don't let your pet become a victim, please be a responsible owner. Keep your dog leashed and PLEASE RESPECT OTHER PEOPLE'S PROPERTY BY CLEANING UP AFTER YOUR DOG!!
NEW UPDATE ON NOXIOUS WEEDS
The board has now had Greenleaf Enterprises spraying in the neighborhood for noxious weeds. Additional sprayings will take place over the next year in order to get the thistle under control. If you have questions about what you might do to assist the eradication on your lot, call Brad of Greenleaf Enterprises at 435 645-9342.
A description of a noxious weed is as follows: "A weed is a plant out of place, 'undesirable' plants that interfere with land management objectives. It can be a weed in one place but an acceptable plant in another place such as St. Johnswort. The weeds by law must be controlled because they are invasive and aggressive. They reduce populations of desirable plants."
